The Mid South

Poster illustration for The Mid South, a weekend endurance festival celebrating hard challenges and the beauty of Oklahoma dirt roads.

In 2022 and 2023, I ran and biked the double at The Mid South. Both experiences felt like a dream. During the first year, fluffy snow fell on the red-rolling roads as my friend Serena and I laughed while we ran. During the bike ride, I dodged an armadillo crossing the road during a fast descent. When strong headwinds blew, I watched graceful hawks floating in the sky. In the second year, I experienced more special moments you can only have while being at The Mid South. All of those memories and feelings inspired this poster.

It’s also a reminder that you can make your dreams a reality if you set your mind to it. This was my first 50k run, and I've fallen in love with long-distance running since.
